Ha! This only came out a couple of months ago. I can't be all THAT late.

I fucking LOVE this album. Up there with Mike's best albums. I think I listened to it 10x back-to-back in one week on my commute to/from work. He and the rest of the guys just nailed it on this one. Much better than The Demon Joke.

Demon Joke rocked too but this is certainly more ambitious and some tracks definetly sound a lot like Oceansize, where the Demon Joke sounded nothing like Oceansize a lot of the time

What's with the neo-nazis harassing this guy? Did I miss something?

He's always had a straight talking fb presence, hadn't followed this though

He's been posting about it on Twitter, but I can't find much about the context. I'm not on FB or Twitter that often. Judging by the screenshots he posted, he really got under some people's skin by whatever he said or did.

Yeah he called out some outer right wing guy for being the douchebag that he is, thoguh unfortunately he seems to have been quite drunk while doing that and his wording didn't make him look the best (there is a video on youtube where the right winger is filming Mike Vennart). Now they are all after him because they can't deal with the fact that these fucking monkeys are called what they actually are

How random, never really thought of Oceansize or him as political before, but good on him for calling out those goons. Hopefully they'll leave him alone soon.

Ah, so he had a face-off with Tommy Robinson in December (which tbh was quite unflattering to both parties) that went public and naturally sparked an ugly mood from various alt-right dreglings

"he seems to have been quite drunk while doing that and his wording didn't make him look the best"
Yeah, shame about this because he clearly had the right attitude to own the encounter otherwise :/

Mad respect for him though regardless.

Yeah the video is pretty painful to watch, but I'm glad he called out "Tommy" Robinson for what he truly is. Just a shame he was too hungover/drunk to really make his point.

Also, Mike is wearing a Magma shirt in the video... how fucking cool is that?

Btw from an answer i got from him on Instagram, it is likely that he will release something this year. Probably with British Theatre or something yet unknown, but still nice to know that he is working on stuff

Oh, really? Wow, I had no idea. That's really good news. Some new British Theatre would be great but a new project would be a cool surprise. Whatever it is, I'll be buying it

Replaying this, and it is definitely up there with some of the best Oceansize material.
I really hope that there is more Vennart material in the coming future.

Well of course it is
I think some sort of project will surface this year, maybe in British Theatre form but Vennart probably not before 2021 i think

A new British Theatre record would also rule for sure. Anything that he does is bound to after all, given that there hasn't been a dud so far.

I like this. I like it a lot.

Really hope he will be as ambitious or even more on his next record. The first one is awesome too but in retrospect a bit too safe
"A new British Theatre record would also rule for sure. Anything that he does is bound to after all, given that there hasn't been a dud so far. "
Also hard agree. And they are quite a few records he has done now if sum all the Oceansize, Vennart and British Theatre discog
