It seemed to be trying way to hard to be satire, but it wasn't enough for me to dislike it. This movie seemed to have more in common with TCM3 than the original.

That is a wack ranking, my friend, but to each his own

I'm just gonna say, all of the movies on the ranking from 1-7 are great imho. It's just 8-9 that aren't very good.

So most of the list is great is just I enjoy some more than others. But Remake is a good movie let me be clear.

I still like 1,2 and 4 more, but 5 is still a solid B for me so I still had a great time



The Scream series is so fucking solid

4 is my fav followed by 1 so we'll see

It's not my favorite, but I think Scream is easily the most consistent slasher franchise. Scream 3 isn't that bad either.

Okay final verdict. Great film, lots of fun and the plot was pretty good. It definitely lacks Wes Cravens suspenseful flair though.

I'd say rankings wise...

Also I'm getting real sick of sequels just using the brand name as it's title... like ffs just call it Scream 5

In retrospect Scream 5 is still excellent but I was pretty premature in putting it above 2 in my ranking.

2 is better I might have been caught up in the hype a little.
