> “Mirror Image”, “Celeste” and “Jukai” all reinforce the man’s talent as a lyricist by creating infectious syncopation, coupled with intelligent ever present chorus crescendo

Not sure I can take a review that cites Mirror Image as an example of good lyricism seriously

The bridge of “AWOL” is the worst piece of music ever created. the melody flow is non-existent

yes it's really poor and out of tune. I'm curious to see this disc played live as I feel like the production and/or the direct punch the songs have hide a lot of the technicalities and rather than augment they hide what is actually good

5/10 songs I don't truly care about, maybe this is a 2.5

Most mediocre thing I expect Browne to ever write, and altogether musically disappointing considering the obvious talent in the band. Feels like a genuine step back in almost every area. Some tracks here damage Monuments' rep sheet as the guys in the genre to make your head bob.

Never saw the appeal of these guys in the first place.

When it comes to this genre, if it ain't Josh Travis, it ain't shit.

Pretty sure you just took this out of context. It’s the syncopated and use of crescendo being directly discussed while the lyrics are an afterthought. Probably not very clear on my behalf but I don’t feel like going back over this one. It’s the kind of mood I’m in I guess.

this is some catchy djent-core my dudes, still enjoying it thoroughly.

If the lyrics weren't so angsty I'd 4 this easy

Breaking news, the songs of the new discs are great live and a lot of the technicalities are hidden in the mix

Leviathan (I think it was Leviathan?) ends up with a fucking double tapping 30s outro I've not even noticed on disc

Stygian Blue still sucks balls, Barretto even dances while doing the chorus lol

Matt rose sucked live most of the times. Barretto pretty much nailed it everytime I saw them... that's the difference

I think Baretto has a more distinct voice, but I'll need to judge how he is as a lyricist when they release another album. So far it's 1/2
