Funeral in Carpathia is great, but I think that A Gothic Romance is the best song on this album.

I find Cruelty and The Beast to be their best after a few listens, but this is quite great too.

A Gothic Romance is still my favorite. Those two are right after that though.

Yeah, gave 'em a few spins earlier today. I used to really hate CoF, it's grown to be one of my favorite bands. I still need to listen to Damnation and a Day, though, but for what I've read it's not so good.

Damnation is good. Nowhere near the greatness of any of the early albums, but its still good. Kind of like Midian. There's a whole lot of instrumentals. Actually they're not even instrumentals, just a lot of interludes. It's a concept album about Lucifer's fall from heaven and it's broken up into sections (4 or 5, I can't remember).

Oh, I see. Will give it a shot, maybe tomorrow.

I need to get an external hard drive, and soon, damnit.

Damnation and a Day gets repetitive very fast, and there is too many damn instrumental interludes.

This album, on the other hand, is damn good. The first three full tracks are some of their best. This Message Edited On 02.09.09

Definitely. None of these tracks beat Queen of Winter, Throned or Bathory Aria though.

Barthoty Aria is pretty much their best song. Amazing from beginning to end.

That is true. My favorite CoF song is still, Nocturnal Supremacy though.

Its hard to choose between that and Queen of Winter, Throned for my favorite. They're sort of tied. After those two its either A Gothic Romance or Of Mist and Midnight Skies.

Really? That's actually my least favorite from Vempire. Not that its bad though. Just not one of the greats for me.
