Gotta admit, not the biggest fan of a good portion of Toby’s catalogue, but this fucking blew me away.

it's directly from the bandcamp flac, and i can hear it on the youtube, bandcamp web, and spotify stream. i've analyzed the files directly. it's definitely there. also, i've had other people verify their files. it's not just me. though i'm glad everyone else is enjoying it - musically it's really nice stuff, more enjoyable than what i've heard from toby in years. if this is fixed i'll be thrilled
edit: the album has now been remastered to fix this, blood music/toby are awesome

You can hear it even just by listening to the stream on Bandcamp. I don't know if I didn't notice it until then or if it didn't appear until then, but I only heard it last night after the second track, it stayed there for the rest of the album though.

it does show up in the first track but only for a brief section near the end - it's very prominent in the other tracks though. it's ear-splitting to my ears in track 4.

Yeah, now that I remember it was in the second track as well. I don't know if it was just my mind trying to associate that thing with the rest of the album but it sounds inconsistent; sometimes it is louder than others, and I remember that at times it almost disappeared, but I'm not sure. I wonder how that even happened, it sounds just fine in YouTube.

Record floored me.

this is from the web flac i got from the blood music bandcamp
there's a constant high pitched frequency whine across all the tracks that makes this album completely unlistenable
what the fuck, toby'
I honestly cant hear shit on mine. Maybe my tinnitus masks it out.

I didn't bought it (and I'm not going to until that noise disappears), but it is definitely there, at least in the stream.

Superb! A majestic piece of music, as alwayls from this man.

Noctus, I know it's a hassle but why don't you go into your DAW and notch it out? I've done that with a bunch of songs that have high frequency noise. I haven't heard this one, but high frequency noises tend to be due to CRT monitors being in the studio during recording. I've removed such noise from the entirety of Taking Back Sunday's Tell All Your Friends, Jimmy Eat World's Open Bar Reception, Radiohead's Love Waits, and probably a bunch more. It's annoying when it's there but at least it's fixable with a little work. Not ideal, of course.
Edit: I can't hear it on this. Usually I can hear it when others can't. I think in the last few years my hearing has been badly degraded by too many loud concerts without earplugs. Silly me.

because it's at an awkward frequency that would dampen out other details

That sucks. Fortunately when I've done it it hasn't had a noticeable effect on the sound, or I just couldn't hear an effect anyway. But yeah, it's a shitty workaround anyway if you care about having the purest sound.

Toby posted on FB about how this is the highest rated album of the year on this site, hopefully stays that way cause it deserves it.
