The title track is pretty indicative of what you can expect on their previous albums. USAD is their best version of that sound but What You Don't See is basically on par as well.

i was expecting to never be impressed by this band again but this album is very impressive. wide variety of sounds without being disjointed, the older sounding stuff is more spiced up, great production

Never gonna listen to this guys until they either apologize for completely ignoring their fans during the dropkick incident, or until they call their next album "dropkick".

this style of pop punk generally has a 3.5 ceiling for me but this is pretty enjoyable 4 tracks in

Review is fine. Talking about the notes he's hitting and comparing it to Tilian brings me out of it a little. Also Line rules.

Also noted on the Tillian thing, I enjoy discussing vocal technicalities so I may have become carried away in that part cos expanding one's vocal range by a whole tone is an accomplishment

Lmao yeah. I'm not super into them at all anymore. This is the step I always wanted them to take, but even still, I'm pretty removed from their brand of pop punk.

Yeah the slower cuts are growing on me fast. I need to sit down sometime and follow along with the lyrics.

A lyric read is more recommended than on any of their previous releases (though Parker's diction is far better)

The thing is, when I listen to music, I pay all of my attention on the instrumentation. So if I don’t have a lyric booklet or something to follow along with, I’ll never hear 90% of the lyrics. 🤷🏻‍♂️
