Same with me. The more I listened to it, the more I started to notice subtleties under the ridiculously noisy surface and once I started familiarizing myself with it is when I really started loving this one. Got it cuz I get pretty much everything from Profound Lore cuz for canadian order the shipping is basically almost given. It is turning out to be one of my overall favorites (not just metal) albums from this year

How in the world is the reviewer comparing this to Dying Fetus? Have you actually listened to either band?

This is nothing like Dying Fetus agreed. Both bands are really heavy though if that was the point of the comparison.

new soundoff for this mentions the genre war for this and I think I was the one who started it on RYM lmao.

When I first saw the war tag, I had to do a doubletake tbh. But the tag makes sense.

i guess it's more deathgrind but it's got war-isms to it and the genre tag fight is funny so win-win for meeeeee :D

i mean its really nice art, the music just seems too evil and chaotic for a beautiful scene from a forest. kind of an interesting contrast though.
