no need for defending since I'm not attacking him, just saying, he doesn't have to waste his time on something he doesn't enjoy, there's a lot of music out there. but yea, maybe it grows on him ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I just felt like this was pretty accessible if you're already into sludge, despite its length.

ahahah but its true...I wrote that on friday...drunk and kind of impacient and found curious cause I was expecting "the riffs"...I actually enjoyed a lot heathen after a couple of listens...and today I went for a walk and listened half of this one and was having a blast. Admiting Thou is a hard listen I like to insist on things...Repeating Sovereing self now m/m/m/ and its awesome.

Fantastic review, man. I was wondering who was going to tackle this monster. I thought about giving it a go myself but I’m still digesting this. In many ways this feels like Thou’s most dynamic record and the hour and fifteen minute run-time is, somehow, easily listenable for me. They use so many different nuances that I can’t help but be entranced. I know it’s too early to say for sure, but I may like this even more than Heathen.
