I'm sorry, man, glad you can find something to like but I couldn't stand it. I won't continue to spoil the fun for you guys though.

I'll definitely give a proper check to their other records though. Hopefully, I can find something in those.

This band really hasn't put out anything worthwhile after Chasing Ghosts anyways

Burn Alive and D.I.E are bad yeah, but those songs alone don’t warrant the rabid hatred

Disregard this album and listen to the new Jesus Piece instead

I weirdly like D.I.E. Like, I should hate it, but something about it works for me. I need to rejam Chasing Ghosts, because unless I’m forgetting something, I may like this more.

I express my thoughts thoroughly in my soundoff. My previous comment was rude though, so I apologize for that. I just don’t understand how you think this is worse than TCBH and say that these guys are Parkway Drive’s counterparts when they are nothing alike whatsoever. Bc they’re aussie? Haha.

I just see them as used to be fitting into the same Australian metalcore niche. When someone said Parkway Drive, you thought of either I Killed The Prom Queen or The Amity Affliction. So the fact that both Parkway and Amity attempted to progress as musicians, which affected their music negatively in my opinion, I think it's worth mentioning. I also did mention Northlane and Polaris a little, but my original draft had a whole opening paragraph about them and the scene progressing from them. Maybe it seemed out of place once I removed that and replaced it.

to be fair the entire review is pretty awful not just that part

Don't forget his completely stupid comment about me, when I even 2'd their last album lol
I love every "scene" album guys, Seb said so

the much-improved vocals of Ahren Stringer certainly tries their hardest to sell the listener on the album

and in the next paragraph
"Stringer’s vocals lack the capabilities in both range and tone"
lmao

So they should have continued their sound from 10 years ago? Also,
Polaris only have a debut album. Unsure how you can compare against Amity’s 6 albums

Youngbloods and severed ties were there best. Their ST album was also great. This doesn’t deserve to be scored lower than their last effort. It’s a 3-3.5 for me

It was a meme Steak jesus, it's just every negative review I do for scene bands you always show up with like a 3.5-4 ahaha, like with Volumes

"tries their hardest"
Same sentence: "Stringer’s vocals lack the capabilities in both range and tone to be given such a forefronted placement in the mix, and the instrumentals suffer,"
yes but in the end they struggle to fill the requirements for range and tone needed to warrant their higher presence in the mix
