Not familiar with anything before Heathen but heard that one and everything else they put out this year and this is so far my favorite from them. Will probably go back and check out wverything else shortly

I hope they eventually consider going back to this styles because I don't see anyone else doing grunge quite as well as these guys atm.

Speaking of grunge, that Nirvana covers split with The HIRS Collective is awesome as a covers EP/split. Both bands IMO did a great job staying close to the original (not to the point it sounds like a faithful cover) noticeable but appropriated it in their “signature” styles.

Unfortunately, it’s not available digitally as of now. Maybe later on it will, but for now it’s a vinyl only release. There’s a Bandcamp page for the split but the only track on there is an “introduction to a long play split record” which is just 4 minutes of various feedbacks and noise.

I think Magus was recorded before this so I wouldnt be surprised if they continue this direction.

I wouldn't mind they infused a bit more of that sweet grunge influence in the future. They can't get any heavier.
