Wayfarer I found your review constructive but unfortunately there seems to be hostility from some others on this board for whatever reason and my points are being misconstrued.
I’m merely explaining why I typically write long records and why I enjoy them. I actually upvoted your review as I thrive on criticism and self-criticism. I’ve been consistent with that with writing and in any interviews I’ve done previously.
Another review by HBIH touched upon a similar theme in that the surprise element had been removed. Enivtably writing this style of music is going to mean the shock factor becomes desensitising after a while so it forces you to innovate. Your review covered that well in the lead title.
Also, referring back to Alexander’s comments I think it’s highly ironic to describe an artists viewpoint as pretentious on a review site of all places.
