Trust me Jay, I've wanted to like the past 3 records but I just can't. I really find this new prog oriented approach they do as incredibly out of place and too wacky even for these guys. It doesn't sound genuine at all to me. It feels so thrown together and really trying too hard to embody old time prog with a new twist and it just does not work at all for me.

I can understand why you didn’t enjoy it, but for me it was really cool to hear something so weird even from them. Something that made go “holy fuck I was not expecting that” mainly in the jazz influences. It really caught me off guard, but in a good way. I think that’s why I like it more than others
