FOB peaked with Folie a Deux. Panic never peaked and never will.
|
| |
That makes no sense. Every artist in the universe has peaked at some point you just may not like them.

If you don't count their debut, Chevelle peaked at 3.91 and their low point was 3.72, I'd say that constitutes never peaking. Unless their entire career since 2002 has been their peak...

Chevelle aren't done yet so the peak is unknown.

I doubt Chevelle is going to release a 4.2 type album

I doubt you will ever release a 4.2 album.

i enjoyed the energy of this, but it got pretty grating by the end of the album. wish that half of the album retained the maximalist style and he displayed some restraint for the rest of it.. even the ballads are pretty overblown on this

I just finished the Great Gatsby. I never read it in highschool as it wasn’t part of our mandatory reading. What was mandatory among friends was listening to Panic! At the Disco. I picked this up after only hearing the lead single on the radio. The similarities between Gatsby and Pray for the Wicked are uncanny and not just because of the aptly titled “roaring 20s.”
Everything on this album glitters larger than life. The production is big, the hooks are bigger, but in the end you’re left wondering what is the whole point. I do tend to enjoy deep, introspective music. This album is the complete opposite of that. But it is so good at what it is that I can't help but to give it a 4 out of 5.

This album is so by the books that it basically beats the listener over the head with them. All of the unique qualities of Panic! At the Disco that made me like them so much are gone on this record, and this has become the only P!atd record that I can genuinely say I didn't enjoy. Even with their previous record without a solid musical theme like Too Weird to Live, Too Young to Die they had a semblance of a personality that made them unique and stand out from their contemporaries. This album is basically a better Fall Out Boy, which given their latest release doesn't say much.

Too Weird is the blandest most bandwagon-jumping indie pop album I've ever heard though
