what's funny is he said he felt this was the first time he had been part of something truly different/original

Liked "No Masters" when I first heard it on the radio, but most of this album is disappointing dog shit.

4.0 Guess i'll be the one to stick out like a sore thumb on this particular board.I dug this album personally.I think the main 2 points that the hate gets directed on this is lack of innovation. The other's underground metalheads being turned off that it's a mainstream metal release which like many takes no risks and offers nothing revolutionary which most expect from every current metal release With me being a more casual fan of this music as long as a mainstream release is well executed that's all I need for it to be a good lp.I like the fact that heavier tracks dominate with surprising level technical proficiency with interesting tempo changes being mainstream.A more extreme band that has the balls to cover iconic 90s alternative and do it justice wins point in my book.At least Tommy Vext has a vocal presence unlike a lot of cannon fodder for this genre.I find it interesting how he utilizes the style from his first solo band Vext, which right from the gates he does that schizoid rap/fast screaming thing he did in the start of his solo album as well interesting touch. It's his clean singing that truly stands out a soulful emotional croon that hits the right buttons.I do recommend his first ever band Vext for those who want more of him or Divine Heresy

honestly this album is just a testament to how much the metalcore detuning craze has fucked the metal scene, even mainstream supergroups are falling privy.

And to think Dolores O'Riordan's last recording was going to be for this album...
Damn.

RIP but good thing she avoided it at least. I really dig No Masters, but most of this is awful.

The political undertones in particular are cringeworthy.

The edgiest band name ever. Who named them, the singer's 9-y/o son?

I actually like these guys for some reason. I don't know why, but it's catchy background music.
|
| |
Why do I like these guys so much? It's shallow but addictive.

So this was almost two weeks ago now, but the singer Tommy Vext resigned/got kicked out. That dude's self-destructed rather badly lately
|
| |
I'd say that nobody cares, but dude raised more than $100,000 on gofundme to record a solo covers album, so what the fuck do I know?
