About four or so tracks on this that make all the others obsolete, but the good tracks are gonna be in heavy rotation for a while. (Those four tracks also happen to be the first four tracks, it’s not like the rest is bad but less memorable and the lyrics actually start getting in the way)
Edit: BOY and the Kehlani track are worth too, anything else worth studying?

@noler If You Leave Me and Somebody Told Me are fantastic. Empty Cups is relentlessly catchy but will probably wear on me pretty quickly. I would say BOY is my favorite as of now

I think my favorite thing about this album is that in the hands of another artist/producer/engineer all of these songs would song exactly the same as each other. They all have similar structures, melodies, and lyrical content. But the little things that Charlie adds in samples, productions, and harmonies really make it art.

do you pronounce his name like ruth or puff
@lucid: they sound the same to the extent that they sound like they connect as a cohesive project maybe, but there's a lot to distinguish song from song. Change is indeed a song that doesn't need to exist though haha.
the way I am makes great use of silence, attention has that glorious bass, LA girls has a great melody and dance break, and how long has the funkiest gotdamn chorus my gawd

This does not stand up under repeated listens. Probably got a little too excited at first, I'll admit it.

Still thoroughly enjoying this, front to back. Just wish the CD art was the same as the digital artwork.

I enjoyed this, although the lyrical content could be much more diverse then very shallow girl problems for 9+ tracks on this.

yeah thats by far the best criticism of this, but it kinda goes without saying considering the genre/audience he's trying to reach (hint: we aren't the audience he's trying to reach)
