I like track by track reviews if the album has enough diversity to justify it. There are records where a track by track review just isn't a good choice

I agree, especially if we are talking about conceptual albums.

"It's a near-perfect album, but has a couple bad songs"

How does a "near perfect album" have more than one flop of a song or moment? Like what?

I remember when New Born was my favourite song, well they do say ignorance is bliss I guess

If I was a troll account, I wouldn't take this much time to write an album review.

@bloc: at this time in my youth I’d have been completely impervious to corn, I mean sometimes I’d listen to Bon Jovi which is strong supporting evidence for that, haha

Bon Jovi still has some killer singles, no shame in that haha

@SteakByrnes: I'm saying it would be perfect if it wasn't for those couple songs.

Wouldn't a 3.5-4.0 a better rating for an album with a couple of bad songs?
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
@YourAverageMusicFan I get that, but you could say that about anything. "If these 7 tracks weren't on it and there were only x tracks it would be perfect"
Just seems like flawed logic
