listened again today on a walk and still didn't really enjoy. Top of the World, Like They Do on TV, and Recovery are the only songs I really enjoy (and Right Direction gets me), but I'm not feeling this and I quite enjoyed Golden Echo. and y'all say this bangs and pops, butttt it's pretty tame compared to her last imo

At least yr showing some love for Top of the World, I fucking love that song and I've seen around that apparently a lot of people can't stand it smh

This is a bit more modern sounding than Golden Echo and I've seen multiple people who didn't like that album loving this one so I say it's definitely worth a shot

The Golden Echo is a bit messy compared to Primal Heart.

I honestly feel the exact opposite; I think Golden Echo is more cohesive and thoughtfully sequenced

Primal Heart is shorter than The Golden Echo by like fifteen minutes, so that might contribute to my opinion.

This album is still to safe for me. Her debut is still the best release she's done. I understand she's made moves and I'm not at all up for her returning to her sound in Vows, but I do wish she'd not hide behind her reverb as much as her last record and just...dare more!
