ok. I got your point in the review. Don't know these guys, but enjoyed you used some references this time, so i can know what to expect. I missed more of those sensorial allegories, but i guess this didn't made you feel much
Yeah I try not to copy/paste my reviews and apparently I talk about wine too much haha. Don’t get me wrong these guys can be monsters in a live setting but that doesn’t change the fact that a studio releases is average as fuck lol.
It was natural for me to write this way, and took the best part of two hours.
Also, thanks for the feature mod gods

quick let's derail this back into napalm death territory now that it's featured

I liked this. Howard seems revived 😉. But really his vocals are on point here and musically this suits his voice better

His vocals have always been strong (except for one or two instances), as musicians they sound tired, not in a technical sense but rather in a song writing stance. The rehashing and too similar lyrical contexts are the weakest parts of HJ

Howard still has those golden pipes, but damn, this is some of the blandest metalcore I've heard in a while.

I thought his vocals (screamed and clean) sounded pretty weak on the two devil you know albums

Good review but this is better than a 2.5 rating imo.

Listened to this once and I enjoyed it. Nothing groundbreaking, but if you enjoy the previous Devil You Know albums, you'll like this.

I love this album. I really like the route they took writing more catchy songs dominated by clean vocals. The music is still heavy, but with more of a hard rock sound. This is actually the direction I was hoping they would take.

Exactly what I was expecting.
Poor Howard.

The lead single led me to believe that this might actually be good, but Howard and the other guys seem so bored. The music is so lifeless and the lyrics don’t even seem to be about anything, just vague metaphorical nonsense. Howard is to good to be wasting his career with this uninteresting nothingness of an album

It sounds like one of those releases where the label is leaning on contracted deadlines.

Howard's best performance since he left KSE. Too bad the songwriting is bland.

It really is,
In other news: A lost Australian boy thought if he hopped on a Kangaroo it would take him home to his parents. No dingos were harmed in the making of this story.

I always liked Jones as a vocalist even if I am not a big fan of Killswitch Engage, and here he sounds also fine, but it's a shame the music is so damn bland.
