Really impressed with this album, I was not expecting such a strong release. The short run time worked wonders too.

This band is really hit-and-miss for me; I find them pretty pretty silly and gimmicky a lot of the time. But then there'll be some really memorable and fantastic songwriting that keeps me coming back, like Selkies and Lunar Wilderness. If this is less scatterbrained and nonsensical then I might give it a go, but then again Coma Ecliptic was more toned down and ended up being my least favorite BTB&M.

It's in the same vein as Coma Ecliptic. Just not as much of a stray from their 2007-2014 sound as Coma Ecliptic was. They're trying to recapture a little bit of their earlier sound. But only a little bit.

I've never been a fan of this band (liked a song here and there) but I listened to this today and I hate it. The vocals, both harsh and clean sound like absolute ass to me. If they got a different vocalist I would probably dig it.
