This genuinely has something extra on almost every other Neo-folk i've ever heard

I don't even like neo-folk and I loved this release... You can be very proud of yourself!

For me (and probably many of you), music sometimes has that esoteric power to put you in a dream-like state and make you forget about all your problems. This is one of those instances.

Agree - the way motifs are used is perfect and the counterpoint between the arrow fisted guitar and cello is genuinely astonishingly beautiful in places

Yes. I also like the interplay between the 2 cellos playing harmonies in fifth and octaves (I think?). It creates at times a mournful mood and other times such an uplifting sound

Having jammed this EP so much since it's release, I can definitely say it's among my top 5 neofolk release of the 2010s with Musk Ox's Woodfall, SdM's Noite/Caminas, Vali's Skoglandskap and Winterfylleth's latest regardless of it's short length. Going to check out Vespers soon

That's awesome to hear man, I've been working out a lot of ideas for the next album over the year and am pretty excited about what's in the works. Hope to wrap up writing and start recording by the new year. Gonna take my time, but there will be full length follow up to this in a similar style

Alright this is funny as hell, Google translate of that last paragraph is godly:
I respect the fact that the creators have published this EP for free on their Bandcamp, where everyone can listen to it. However, I am able to pay them a large sum of money for something like that. Shut up and take my money! I strongly urge everyone to get married and listen to the new work of Rota Forunae. Finally, I invite you to follow their Facebook profile.

I just love how this has an uplifting feel to it, while still being really melancholic. The thing about neofolk is that its always so dark and sad, and I that makes it kind of lifeless to me. This has lots of energy while still conveying emotions so well. Really excited for the full length man!
I have one question though, do you have any idea how much the payrate of Spotify and Google Play differs per play? I would like to know that. I guess you got ' some ' money from those platforms, atleast I hope so. You would deserve it

I have currently earned less than £1 for my almost a thousand overall streams on Spotify so... probs not

Hey yeah, to be honest I haven't taken the time to look into how streaming services pay. I had a friend suggest using Routenote to get my music on all streaming platforms (Spotify, Google Play, Apple Music, and then others like Deezer? Tidal? I don't know haha). They posted both my EPs on all of those sites, and take a decent cut I'd imagine, but once you earn $50 in streaming plays they send you some money. I'm sure this is not the best way to make money streaming music but the convenience of it all was worth their cut since I'm not too interested in profiting from any of it, and most of the profits just end up going back into keeping the label running
