It's a fun listen, and considering how angry and negative most of my music is, it's a welcome injection of positivity and optimism that's actually rather lacking in the rock and metal scene. And it doesn't feel like blind positivity either. He seems pretty aware that the world's in a dark place at the moment and is spreading an "everything is going to be OK in the end" message. Is it cliche? Of course it is. But is it something we could do with at this point in time? Definitely.

Album is fine, review is great but he doesn't get close to the fire that was Party Hard.

Cheers Dewinged.

Yeah, I thought he did a solid job. I agree the spoken-word tracks don't suit a party, but they accentuate the proper track after it. And lets be honest, the proper tracks on here are fun as hell.

Yeah whatever he use to have he still has it, but the surprise factor is gone, so it's like the same joke told twice. Still fun, but less than the first time.

I’ll be the first to gush over I Get Wet, but this is barely listenable. So bad.

I don't really understand how people can love his debut but not the rest of his work.

My main drawback here are the vocals. They are absolutely cringe inducing. The instrumentals are okay. Then there’s the fact that he’s trying to pay tribute to stuff like Bowie and Journey and it sounds cool on paper but it’s pulled off so terribly that the whole thing just makes me cringe.

Well there’s definitely stuff here that trying to recreate older eras, Def Leppard too. I think it was supposed to be some “epic” experience but it just came off as weird.

Just did my own review: https://youngbrokepissed.blogspot.co.uk/2018/03/album-review-andrew-wk-youre-not-alone.html

Posted it to Facebook and almost immediately got a like, RT and follow from AWK. May be an algorithm thing for his account to automatically do that but hey I'll take it.

This is a boatload of fun but the production is bad and it's at least 15 minutes too long.
