I don't get all the hate for this album. I don't know much about this guy, and don't really want to know too much - the album is great.

I love the opening track. Finally checking this out. Jonny just has a great voice. Predicting a 3.

I honestly don't find his voice great here whatsoever. He is super over-doing it here. Like I can tell he's got the pipes, but he's being so consciously obnoxious with his delivery it ruins the enjoyment

Eh I really enjoy a lot of his work and the first song off this showcases his talent well. Album fell pretty flat though. Emarosa self-titled is a solid 4.5 though, front to back that thing never gets old for me.

I've never listened to a Slaves album and I've never had much interest to do so, but I'm going to give one a shot. If I'm anything less than slightly impressed, then I'm not going to listen to any others. Should it be this one, or I should I try a different one?

If you want the best Slaves record, then listen to Emarosa's self titled. That album and any Slaves release are basically just the Jonny Craig Show and he did that best on Emarosa.

Was not a fan of his work in Emarosa at all, so maybe I'll just pass. Downtown Battle Mountain is one of my favorite albums ever but I'm probably never going to get those feels again from any of this stuff.

Would rate this higher if I could get through a single song without cringing. Knowing how much of an ass Craig is, I can't take any of these lyrics seriously.

First album from this band that I've ever rated higher than a 2.5
