Album Rating: 3.0 | Sound Off
The debut was a solid dance rock album, brimming with hype and promise.
The sophomore felt a little rushed, but saw them expand their sound and add new flavours. A darker and sexier sound came to the fore.
Tonight was the barnstorming variety show, full of glitz and glam and heartache. You had the height of the party, and the loneliness of the drunk lying in the residue at dawn. Some of their best choruses, and weirdest soundscapes.
Right Thoughts is where all of their ideas up until that point got crystallised in ten slick, breezy tracks. Not as substantial as Tonight, but nimble and wonderfully presented.
This... I'm not 100% sure what this is. Some odes to LCD Soundsystem, and what sound like some unfinished Right Thoughts b-sides. The 3 I've given is probably too generous :/
