Just calling to check in with you guys, how you feeling? I'm crying listening to this tbh.

Ok my first reaction is fuck this EP. The music here is nowhere near as good as Fort Minor and is not worth reopening this wound again. Over Again is raw, but still not worth it.

Yeah the Over Again sample is interesting - I think it’s more likely recorded in Mike’s home studio while he was making the new music. Can you imagine the frustration towards a car alarm just constantly going while trying to record something this important to you? “COME ON” would be my reaction too.

God, gutted he's using that contemporary pop-rap style, it ruins this quite a bit for me. Its context is heartbreaking and mesmerising though, so it saves it.

Didn't consider LP having a female vocalist but that is the best option possible (beyond starting a new project).

Nobody can replace Chester, but the rest of the guys deserve to keep the band alive in whatever way makes the most sense to them.

BTW, wish I could make out everything that Mike says after the Watching as I fall video. I don't get the part about him getting something from a fan.

The picture of a Pokemon figure next to the Chester memorial concert card/flyers (?) broke me for some reason.

Sad but solid EP... hope the best for Linkin Park and their future, whatever that may be

Personally I feel it'd be best if Linkin Park do what happened with Creed and Alter Bridge. Make a new band, same members but a different singer. Going on under Linkin Park would just feel weird without Chester and any singer they get would be criticised to an insane degree.

I think they'll just stay Linkin Park, the fanbase knows it's mostly Shinoda's band anyway. And, it will keep them in the media with that name.

I wish you were right. I assure you plenty of fandumb/casual fans is only aware of Chester. Mike is just the other guy to them. They have no idea how much creative control and input he had (To think that the label wanted to kick Mike out of the band early on...)

Those people feel at least a third of venues.

Sad, but true.

Dudes the two new songs he released this morning are really great. He's really developed as a songwriter imho

Seems like the album is gonna drag more than this did. I love Mike, I really do. But this project has been disappointing me.

16 tracks is a pretty big commitment. Seems like a lot of material to suddenly produce.

That being said, looking forward to the Chino Moreno guest appearance
