Lmao now that I think about that totally does sound like an early FOB track title

i love me some overlong song titles
however this album is trash
also i know we're dunking on Sunshine Riptide but holy crap, Wilson. "I'll stop wearing black when they make a darker color" is among the worst lyrics I've ever heard

and the worst part is I believe old FOB could have made that line a clever joke. but singing it with a straight face is flabbergastingly dumb
|

I haven't even listened to the album, but these little lyrical snippets are just painful to read.

Was about to defend that line in Wilson, then realized I saw those exact words on a button at Hot Topic once and now I can't unsee the cringe

Tbh funniest lines are the ones that are obviously meant to appeal to 12 year-old girls who shop at hot-topic, like the Tonya Harding and Britney Spears references.
Also "when your stitch comes loose, I wanna sleep on every piece of fuzz, And stuffing that comes out of you," is some high level cringe, too.

I actually came around to American Beauty/Psycho, still not sure about this.

didnt read the review but that summary is ace

Yeah this is bad...
Most FOB albums grow on me unexpectedly but I sincerely doubt this tops a 2.5 if it even goes up at all

"when your stitch comes loose, I wanna sleep on every piece of fuzz, And stuffing that comes out of you"
somehow i missed that, these lyrics are really a race to the bottom.
Someone told the band they were clever around the Cork Tree days and it went to their heads apparently

Ok I need to hear the song with the reverse lyric

Young and Menace is too sinful to bring this past a 1

Young and Menace tricked me into this album was going to be worse than it was. It's not neccesarily bad, mostly just dreadfully mediocre and uninspired. A 2 might be a little generous tho tbh

“The sign says don't tap the glass, but I read it in reverse, ssalg eht pat t'nod syas ngis ehT”
...is
...is this real
It's in the review and a lot of people have said that it's a real line in the album but I am honestly still in denial.

I have yet to listen to this album. However Fall Out Boy has always been pop. No matter how you dice it. Accessibility just comes with this.
I do expect this to suck though.
