Some of this just straight up blows, imo. Human Bog is great though.

i think cerulean is miles above his other stuff. only heard this once and thought a lot of it was outright bad. gotta return to it again

I'm partial to Obsidian, but both are much better than this.

Miasma Sky is my favorite Baths song.

Extrasolar might be the best upbeat song on here
But most of the highlights are mellower songs like Human Bog and Wilt

Very masterfully done, Connor, loved reading this and congrats on 50! :3 I will say, though, I think your critiques could've been balanced a tad better: I wouldn't have expected anything above a 2.5 rating with alines like "while it’s undoubtedly a “happy” endeavor both in tone and subject, this contentment often bleeds into hollow pop adventures," and "half of the tracks within this record [come across as bites of artificiality]". I think a slight change in tone in these instances would've benefited the piece, although I'm being definitely being nit-picky because your points definitely made sense (and justified your enjoyment), and this was so well-written as usual.

even if as an over all work this album doesnt appeal to me as much as his last two, its nice that each of his releases (including some eps and comps) contain at least one of my favorite songs in his discog.
