(With Talk Talk I think it's his voice that's keeping me from liking their music. Instrumentally it's very nice, but there's a certain quality to his vocals that annoys me. Tone? Is it nasal? I'm not sure what it is or how to describe it.
I fear the Slowdive guy 'suffers' from this exact same thing, which is especially pronounced in this fuzz-less setting, hence the dislike for this and the non-dislike for their other records.
Now to find a way to make it up to all of you. Who wants some free fruit? ππππππ)
