I wish all songs were as good as Lá Oú Nous Allons. The album condensed to 6 glorious minutes.

Haven't jammed these canadyens yet. The review got me curious though and I've heard their name pop up over the course of the years.

it's kinda like drudkh in that it does the same thing over and over but it's faster and equally solid.

It takes about 1 minute before you know if you like this or not.
Der Weg Einer Freiheit reminded me of this. Apparently there is some kind of central european BM movement.

Damn these guys totally destroyed live. The guy from Cantique Lepreux delivered on the drums! You guys should check out their upcoming LP Paysages Polaires if you in need for some quality ice-cold métal noir québécois

"What"
Canadians are French people disguised as Americans.

i don't believe they are? They're just Quebec nationalists/separatists, which isn't really surprising given Quebec and all that.

Still have never really jammed this band. Did a little back in the day but don’t remember.

i've only really jammed this one but hot damn. They're super repetitive but the riffs are so nice, it's kinda like if you just sped up Drudkh.

"Too bad these guys are Nazis or whatever"
You are probably also a nazi or whatever.

Your statement is just wrong, because in no case you can link these guys to anything Nazi or xenophobic ideologies. Their lyrics are mostly relating events in Québec's history through a very patriotic lense for the province's French origins. They also have lyrics from directly sourced from Québécois poetry and other writings that are mostly related to nature. I agree that their music, imagery and themes also have a strong connection for the Separatist movement of Québec which can be summarized as the segragation of Québec from Canada for various cultural, social, political and economical reasons.
Another modern example like this would be the situation with Scottland and the UK. I doubt you'd call Saor Nazi right?
