I've heard all his side projects and they're all average, so he fits I guess and what opeth album are you referring to because he's not on any of them
I think he's referring to The Fathomless Mastery and fuck you his side projects are not average, Torchbearer and Miseration are great but you obviously disagree so fuck it

R6Rider, have you heard him live? a lot of the youtube videos give a bad impression. They're of earlier live shows and some of jonas' backing vocals are off. Check out the better quality 50 second video of 'The Illusionist' at Bloodstock. I was there and it was VERY impressive. He sounds as good live as he does in studio... although the parts with backing vocals are lacking. Listen to any of his recording sessions and you'll see he's just as good clean.
And fireaboveicebelow, I am referring to The Fathomless Mastery by Bloodbath. He also does guests for Deadlock, Zonaria, The Project Hate MCMXCIX, The Nuclear Blast compilation and will have guest vocals on the next Universum album (yes, an AUSTRALIAN band appreciated his vocal talent enough to contact him to do guests for them.)

I have to agree with you there. He's a great guitarist, but his backing vocals are shit.

Maybe I'm tone deaf, but I think he sounds pretty fucking good in comparison to album quality here.

He's also hilarious...half way through this he does a half-assed rendition I Remember You by Skid Row... And yes, I have a bit of a
man-crush so you don't have to go there. I love this man's vocals.

Great review man! Still donĀ“t know why people rate Retaliator that high, think the choros is pretty mediocre, but i love the record exept a couple of tracks, Illusionist, Kaleidoscopic God and Calculate the apocalypse are of cause big highlights imo!

They're still heads and shoulders above most other bands, even with DMD. But I'm considering that album an accident at work rather than a conscious decision. It was too rushed, that's all. They still have potential.

I fucking love "Carved in Stone," I don't know why it's only a bonus track. It's probably the best song they've ever done besides maybe the title track on HU.
