Well, first, I don't think it is because Blend sounds nothing like something Fahey would do. I guess the closest artist to Fahey without sounding like an imitator would be... Leo Kottke? He has two albums (6 & 12 String Guitar and Circle 'Round the Sun) that are better than this:; Peter Lang could be an option as well, but I've only listened to The Thing at the Nursery Room Window, and that one would be as good as this... Jack Rose's Kensington Blues is nice as well but it sounds like a borderline imitation of Fahey, and although I haven't listened to it a lot, this is probably better anyway.
