I mean it doesn't hurt to try, these guys are one of my fav funeral doom bands.
Skepticism, Slow, Shape of Despair, Evoken, Esoteric, Ataraxie, Worship and Darkflight are some others that I can think of off the top of my head that I'm really into as well.
