Very fun album and it sounds like what I'd expect from them after Handmade. It's a little hit or miss at points, but it also has some of their most progressive and catchiest songs to date. Spirit Lake is seriously one of my favorite songs of the year.

other ways dying could be applied in this context (I described it earlier)

that's a couple of peeps that said they really like Spirit Lake, I didn't hear anything special about it but sounds like I gotta give it an attentive listen

Zapruder sounds awesome but the vocals aren't my favourite. I'll give it a full listen, maybe it will grow on me

This is great, but pretty much feels like Handmade with a lighter touch. Listened to this a couple times now and haven't really had a standout, except for maybe Owe Me.

I did not know about the line up change, tho.

Oranges sounds just like Hail The Sun to me, but they're alright. In Angles is probably my favourite out of those, they bring the Lower Definition vibes and I really miss that band.

This is actually good but just because it copies a lot of their past two records, which are in turn easily better than the copy. So just an average 2.5, although I still enjoy it.

Anybody ever hear what happened with the lineup change?

Beyond Saloon (which blew me away at first listen), TOG will always give me something pleasing to listen to. Maybe at 42 I am getting too old to move along to the next things in music. But, then again, I think ALL new music is original even if it sounds similar to something else.

I think I like this a little less every time I hear it. It just isn't the same without the core band members.

Didn't even know they had a 3rd album. First two were a lot of fun.
