Haha, I know exactly what you mean. I just like hearing Liam's harshness over something pretty - takes me back to Wonderwall and Don't Go Away vibes.

some of Oasis's best songs are on their B sides/EP's, Rockin' Chair, Masterplan, Talk Tonight.

I mean, Masterplan is a fantastic B Sides album.

yeah, pretty much all the big Britpop bands were BEASTS when it came to b-sides. Suede might have been even better in that category than Oasis.

everyone knows this. Noel knows this. he literally said he regrets not keeping all the b-sides back and releasing them as the third album. i love Be Here Now but i have to agree with his assertion that there wouldnt be any religious wars if The Masterplan was the third album "cuz i'd be a bonafide god on earth".

i honestly think about this all the time; what if Oasis actually stuck the landing with their third album? can you imagine? the whole world would be different

some forewarning for anybody going into the new album; it's got kind of a western, cowboy vibe to it. the pre-release singles did NOT strongly suggest that this would be the case, even though "shockwave" and "the river" were among them. just puttin the word out so ppl dont start spinning and go "wait what the fuck is this?"

listening to his new one now
pretty good so far, tbh, though it gets somewhat samey by "Alright Now" (which in itself is a solid song) - it's certainly better than that new blink 182 record, in any case!

more like if Lennon joined the Stones, early or mid-70s era, & they decided to finally mix & put it out this year

It’s alright but the insistence on autotune and ‘new fangled’ studio techniques just kills the soul. Because it’s liam it’s still there in abundance but it is still a soul killer.

man, Now That I've Found You is inoffensive radio pop but Liam sings it with punk rock earnestness. its almost cause for cognitive dissonance. love him on that high note in the chorus tho https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqpUkTmDpIM

got tix to see him at an arena in December. gon get up and early and wait all day in the heat to try and get a front row spot.

When in need a bit of life affirmation Liam decked out in a parka belting out a tune is an absolute necessity.
