I can safely say I'd rather listen to pre-Watershed Opeth than any other Opeth.
My favourite song by them is probably Deliverance though. Which is an album outside my top five.

Deliverance is their worst 00's album imo (most people seem to agree). I only listen to it coupled with Damnation (like it was originally intended), but never by itself.

That song's beginning hits so hard. Hard to choose a favorite on here, but I know that the combination of Demon of the Fall and Credence has a special impact. Perfect placing.

I see why people love it that much, it's memorable and iconic, mostly due to the "DEMON - DEMON OF THE FALL" line, and it's beautiful how it just goes completely insane without holding back when all the songs before it have a more melodic approach. That only comes in on its second half which makes it unique on here ... I wouldn't say it's better than the others, but it sure leaves an impression when it kicks in
