Well I have accepted it wasn't going to be as heavy a while ago. To me, everything seems to pale in comparison to an ode to a jigsaw on here. Sure the rest is enjoyable for the most part, but none of it hits hard apart from this one track and it isn't even heavy.

Ode To a Jigsaw is awesome, but the rest, whilst enjoyable, is utterly utterly forgettable. Guess I'm just gonna have to accept that they'll never get back to the quality that was Take To the Skies, their stand out album by far.

I still think Take to the Skies and Common Dreads are pretty shitty records. I started listening to them when they released the Mindsweep, so that explains why I guess.

So I totally ignored your recs guys cause I am bitch and entered straight into this one. Not feeling the voice much, but it's for sure an interesting mix. Will check the older stuff.

Take to the Skies is legit the only awesome thing they've ever done, Common dreads is dreadful, A Flash Flood of Colour is decent and The Mindsweep is just a disjointed mess, but gets massive props for Last Garrison which is awesome.

He said my life is a total mess, it's 8pm and I'm not even dressed
And oh how I miss your Prosecco-glazed lips
I miss them like the majority of modern mainstream music misses
An original metaphor for missing someone

Nice project, 3.3~ in my book. The lyrics are some of the best I've heard from the band in a while. As well as some of the cheesiest

there's some eye-roll moments undoubtedly but the more genuine songs here have some gorgeous lyrics

Shinrin-yoku through to Jigsaw is the best run of songs in their discog

Has certainly grown on me through the handful of listens I've given it. A pleasant maturation.

I have finally figured out why this albums been bugging me.. The production of the drums on almost all the tracks is horrific. Why are they so pathetically low? And sound like shit. The vocals and synths sound pretty good.

I personally think it’s their second best, only behind Mindsweep. Enjoying this a ton

Listened a few times now and it's grown a lot on me already. Some parts on this are so damn catchy. Also agreed that An Ode to Jigsaw Pieces rules pretty hard.
