It's beautiful in the way that you feel obligated to say that it's beautiful to uphold social standing, kinda like when someone shows you their two month old baby and it looks like a flattened pancake on a nine iron club, but the parent pressures you into complimenting it and you have no choice but to say the baby is adorable, because let's face it, who the fuck wants to be that one asshole who tells the parent that their baby came out with a face as distorted as a Deafheaven album.

BlackMalachite is completely right. His baby analogy is on point, because you tried to trap him with a song about suicide for christ sakes and then expect him to say something negative. So, you are being a douche. The song sucks. So does the album.

There are a lot of terrible songs touching on suicide though. I doubt that's the reason he's hesitant to call it shit.
His analogy doesn't make sense because literally no one is pressuring anyone to feel obligated to say anything good about this dude or any of his music, like there is with someone's baby.
