How long until Ryan Adams has another hissy fit on Twitter calling Adam Granduciel an asshole or something

But with his recent trend of randomly going off on people (Josh Tillman, The Strokes) and the way they do the sound he's done on his last few albums 100 times better it seems inevitable.

and an overabundance of metaphors involving the night and the rain sound more like dime store Ryan Adams than past efforts. [2]

I really like the lyrics, yeah there's a lack of specificity in them and a lot of songs share similar imagery but I feel like Granduciel's not really going for specificity with the lyrics so much as conveying an overall mood to complement the music. And there are lots of lines I really love throughout.

For example:

I met a man with a broken back

He had a fear in his eyes that I could understand

I can't even shake the pain without breakin'

Really digging this so far. Didn't discover TWoD until their release before this one. Should I dive into their full discography? Worth it?

I like this a teeny bit better than Lost in the Dream but I still think it's better as an instrumental record
