@Sowing yeah, No Control is probably the only real dud on the album for me. I like "Can't Get it Out", but I was a little disappointed Jesse didn't really crank it up to 11 with the vocal performance, a la the end of "Jesus".

"wish they kept up that atmosphere."
this!
and every single track on this would have made a more homogenous follow up to it than "Can't Get It Out". Except "No Control" of course....

First two tracks are the best songs they have done, for me.

I read it somewhere in an article, but apparently they really do "wanna be 18 forever" (lyric from "Soco Amaretto Lime") cause they've been doing these "2000-2018" posts online and even had a big ass poster come down after one of their recent concerts that showed the same thing

I like it so far. Very thricey.

Huh. Never really thought about it but I do hear a slight Thrice edge, mostly in the guitar work I think.

no control is one of my favorites on here. that chorus melody is really sad and beautiful

yeah I totally hear some thrice in this album
there's a few songs I could hear dustin singing over. this is better than almost any thrice album tho

I think my favorite off this is Out of Mana followed closely by In the Water
album continues to grow with each listen, so glad my doubts were absolutely shattered

Is Out of Mana really about World of Warcraft

Man I hope not, seems so out place lyrically. Hopefully it's just one big metaphor for growing up and making friendships or something, idk
