It's just crazy how quickly these guys ruined their reputation. I've never even been a big fan of Arcade Fire, but even I can recognize that this is shockingly below par compared to their previous work

yeah much as i rag on reflektor, it kinda shocks me that they could flip so fast from a take on this style as incisive and awkwardly engaging and insidiously catchy as, say, Porno to this white bread elevator bollocks blandstain

Re-listened to Reflektor this morning and I liked it less than I remember, but it's still an overall good-to-great record. Everything Now doubles down on all the bad stuff. Infinite Content is unbelievably bad, to where I can't believe nobody in the studio slapped Win upon his conception of the song

can't tell whether or not Put Your Money On Me is a good song or just a giant step up from the garbo beforehand and am reticent to find out
but the end run is less bad for sure. t/t could have been a decent track as well, classic AF motif in that opening but the rest of the track sits on its hands
