Guy's voice was kind of bad too from what I listened to iirc but the spoken word vox were cool.

like 99.9% of psych..

wanky as in what tho? usually psych is jam inspired so it's more repetitive than show-offy

Not really in a show-offy way more in a "we really like to hear ourselves play" kind of way.

But I guess with this kind of stuff that's kind of the point. This is like 100% cheese.

Also it sounds way more like garage rock and prog than psych.

Great review. Your writing style here mirrors the atmosphere of this album so well. Someone might read this and be confused about what to expect from the album, but once they listen to it, they'll understand. I've had this album on repeat, especially Chapter 3, for over a month now. The final 13 minutes are incredible. This album is so thick and relentless that it consumes you, like Han-tyumi's engulfing of the universe
