Whole album has songs that are interesting but just don't take it the next level like the last record did, song's like Montreal and Shoddy Workmanship.

TFIC Pt. II is a standout song IMO, and easily on par with their first album. A few others are growing on me hard, too. Cannonless and Hunting Trip especially.

And I still don't care what anyone says, Trying Year is wonderful. This album's version of Brothers.

This is a hard 4. Absolute rabble rouser of an album. Amazing.

Anybody else getting huge Turnover + American Football vibes from Hunting Trip?

Or big-time Citizen + Brand New (Daisy) vibes from TFIC Pt. II?

I love it.

BLISSFULLY OUR FRAMES CONNEEEEEEECT

I'm coming around to this more and more with each pass. Still a 3.5. Might bump to a 4.0 given some more time. Honestly never see this becoming a 4.5+ though.

i don't really think it's that the production on this is bad, it's that the production on TFIC is perfect and there's no way this can compare to it

Me, while listening to this album:

"This song is amazing! I just wish the rest of the album was this good"

Repeat this to myself during every single song.

Yeah, I remember really liking TFIC when it came out, but I forgot almost everything about it a few years later. Now that I'm going through some stuff again, this album is really solid at least on first listen. Trying Year and Dance of Joy are so good
