I just discovered this band a few weeks ago, so I'm not overly attached to TFIC, although I've been obsessed with it since then.

This one definitely has some really good songs and some other really cool parts, which gives me reason to think it will continue to grow on me

...but the production HAS TO be better on the official release

At least the production isn't The Blackest Beautiful bad.... otherwise I wouldn't be able to enjoy any of this. I don't have high hopes it will sound better at 320, but one can hope.

Aye, wasn't even good regardless of production. But that production has ingrained itself in my mind.

I'm sitting here listening to this again and my brain just went

"huh

it has been a really trying year"

and that shouldn't make me like the song any more, but it did

solo is really nice, never noticed how much I liked that little noodling on previous listens

the "whatever darkness lies in me is reborn as a light to guide all of you" line in Books fucking demolishes me, man

it's so simple but OOF, ain't that the feel of songwriting

The Menzingers still absolutely owning this particular genre for the year so far IMO.

I'm starting to get into that Sorority Noise album too.
