i mean, i feel she wants to go for a more cold late night after-party fogginess, and I appreciate the intention, but it falls flat most of the time. Not druggy enough, not spacey enough, it ends up in an awkward middle ground that gets old real fast.

With a few production tweaks it could've been a stronger effort. It might not have sounded a lot like Lorde, but it would've been a great fucking record.

This is just as good as I hoped it would be.

Listened to this once and just didn't hear a single track that really stood out to me. Debating whether to give in another listen and see if it grows on me, or just cut my losses and listen to some m/

I knew who wrote this review before I even clicked on it. Fantastic review as always Sowing. I wasn't the biggest fan of her first album, but I'll check this one out.

On first listen, I really enjoyed this. I think it's much better than her debut. It's a bit samey at the beginning, but I think it really hits it's stride at Liability, and keeps up good momentum until it gets to that killer of a closer. I also just realized at the last track that I must've been listening to the clean version of the album. Will remedy that on my next listen.

Sowing's the fat guy in a restaurant that's always smiling and says the whole menu is great... at every restaurant he's ever patronized. So basically Guy Fieri.

that part at the end of "Supercut" where they clearly used the raw recording of her voice is flawless and I love it
