That's cool you saw AFI, Trebor so you are the emo guy? We don't need to have a conversation here, but I saw you post reviews and post in a lot of those band pages from the midwest. Could be fun to chat there. I liked Miss Murder it was catchy enough. I can get how it isn't very representative of the album so people say. Personally I thought 'Girl's Not Grey' for a single was kinda weak, it's like the pop party song of the album and rather corny. I would have rather seen them put out a harder song for a single they already had 'Silver and Cold.'

Girls Not Grey is an all-time classic! I sang it as my audition song to get a lead part in the school play when I was in 5th grade. Every song on Sing the Sorrow is a 5/5 to me.

Top tier trivia there from lightandglass
I think kill caustic was the first song I liked with harsh vocals. Either that or hand of blood by bfmv

Aw. Now I feel a little bad. That's a nice story. Oh ok so there were three singles. 'Leaving Song Part II' was another. I do remember hearing that in early 2000s Madden football. Those were some golden days. 'This Celluloid Dream' is such a jam I loved to move to that one.

"I think kill caustic was the first song I liked with harsh vocals. Either that or hand of blood by bfmv" Both absolutely classic picks. I downloaded Death of Seasons by AFI on accident (limewire lol) when trying to download their tamer more standard songs and it was what made me fall for harsh vocals. It was so dark and incredible.

Hand of Blood is what finally got me into metalcore back in the day. I had strep throat in middle school and played Need for Speed Most Wanted all week and disabled every track except for Hand of Blood once I heard it. Got a physical copy of the EP as soon as I could. Still the GOAT.
For some more fun trivia, my dad picked up The Poison on release day for me and had to have a talk with me to make sure I wasn't listening to some fucked up shit since BFMV was on Trustkill and he wanted to know WTF that was all about.

The Poison and the Hand of Blood ep kick ass still. Might give The Poison a spin right now for old times sake.

It sucks they never matched how good those two releases are but I think a lot of it has to do with Matt getting his tonsils removed and his voice going to shit after that.

Not a single bad track for me on this album, each stands great on its own and ties well together. I don't know, maybe it's the fact that I heard this a thousand times, but it's not nostalgia speaking, I don't have any particular memories related to this album, it's just a tight record to this day.
Miss Murder is a bit on the annoying side, I must concur.
