I wonder how much of this was recorded live. Vocals on the first few tracks seem to be one take or improvised a bit. It doesn't seem to do any of those first 5-6 tracks any favors.

Disagree. This shits pretty raw and Josh has a killer voice. One of the best vocal performances of the year imo.

It's not terrible and I don't think his voice sounds bad at all, just noticed that they sound like they were recorded in a live setting or in one take on those tracks and I know Scogin has done some song recordings live throughout his career so I was curious. Second half of this is dynamite.

Definitely dig this more than the debut.

Both this and the Chariot definitely go for a much rawer lo-fi sound, but idk if everything is recorded separately or not. It certainly sounds like they were doing pretty much everything in the same room at once.

Fuck yeah. I think this edges out the debut for me. They are pretty similar in terms of quality though.

BUT I CHOSE TO BE ME FROM RIGHT HERE

I really didn't expect to love this as much as I do. I enjoyed their debut, then I saw that they put on an absolutely killer performance when they opened for ETID. This record is amazing.

Lots of 'Woo's' and maybe some 'Yeah's' in the first few tracks, yeah.

I saw The Fiancee in some music shop near when it came out and I liked the art so i got it. Bearing in mind I was 8 or 9 at that point so sat in my room with my little CD player and that album and it just blew my fucking mind. He continues to.

Still not even close to measuring up to the Sput hype, but a good record nonetheless
