ye i love playlisting to sort of fix albums where the artist fucked Up the tracklist. and yeah 6/8 leads into bottom of the ocean perfectly. those two working as the closers (besides brohemian) is a great way to wrap up the album
I structured it almost to have the higher energy stuff towards the front of the album such as putting the only thing that matters and wildfire in the front half. from los angeles onwards i put the songs that slightly differentiate from the formula, with the two ballads back to back and the most experimental songs towards the very end. I'm really digging this order, especially the back half

I got into it back when the Life of Pablo dropped cos goddamn Kanye fucked that tracklist up, and then found out I actually really enjoy the process of changing a tracklist and discovering things about the album you never knew
Mines structured almost like a vinyl, where Built this Pool, Only Thing and Brohemian Rhapsody break the tracks up into four parts, sort of equally. Probably the way I'll jam it from now on

I'm not sure when i started doing it, but i think it was around th time when i started digging deep into u2 b sides and wanted to integrate them into the albums they were cut from, especially with their later much less consistent stuff
check my new list btw i think you'll like it

Ha, I love reading these alternate tracklists. They always feel like a guilty pleasure for me.
Humanz is the most custom-tracklistable album in recent memory IMO (last was A Moon Shaped Pool). Especially if we start hearing even more songs from those sessions.

nah not really. this is more technically impressive and skiba's vocals are some of his best in a while. mark is pretty terrible on here but the rest of the band kinda makes up for it in places

It' more emotional than first California, but i't still the same in other aspects.
Beautiful lyrics, but the context is the same.
BOOOORING album.

Nothing about this is gold.

Skiba was too good to concern himself with Blink in the first place, at least at that point in Blink's career and where they are currently. California (the Deluxe included) sounds like an identity crisis, but it also sounds like Mark saying "We can make dick songs without Tom."

blink and alkaline trio are two of my favorite bands but id be lying if i was saying that either skiba or mark wanted to push themselves at all. like at least tom did push them, regardless of what you think of neighborhoods. and as much as i love alkaline trio, matt has definitely been the weakest link of the past two albums

Blink was one of my favorite bands from high school, and probably still are. I like Neighborhoods, I gave it a 3.5. You have a point, neither of them really have to prove anything. I just think that if they had taken more time, this could have been a little better. Mark is definitely the weak link here. Me and my brother were talking about this yesterday so I wanted to ask you since we're talking about this. Which is the better side project? Box Car Racer or +44? I say Box Car Racer.
