HA! Captain, you're another of these prolific writers! Please, do more prog!

"True, SoccerRiot. Keep them coming! I still have to listen to that Victor Wooten album that you covered recently ;) There are some other prog reviewers that come to mind; manosg, linguist2011, menawati, undertakerpt, Tarkus, Nagrarok, Frippertronics, vanderb0b, JamieTwort, Divaman, but half of them don't write anymore or don't cover that much prog anymore."
Yeah, I did a lot more of them when I was Necrotica. For some reason, I just kinda let the prog write-ups fall by the wayside once I started this account and kept on reviewing. But I think I was trying to put more diversity in my writing as well, which meant expanding my genres a bit. But I've still gotta do that Moroccan Roll review, since I've been putting it off for years now. lol

Great review good sir, nice to see this album still getting the love it deserves in 2017!! Please do more xD
I personally still regard these as one of the greatest bands I've ever heard. They have an extremely solid and consistent discography that pushes boundaries and sounds so unique, its like a genre within a genre, the progging guys prog xD
The last track on this album after hearing it as a whole is god-tier music xD
@Jethro, cheers for the shoutout, hope your keeping well buddy lol

@soccerRiot, hell yeah lets do it, if the army of prog reviews unite, sputnik won't have a chance! They will bow to our demands xD

Love your enthusiasm, guys. Let's spread the prog again! Moroccan Roll would be a good companion for Unorthodox Behaviour, the only Brand X album that is covered to date. Great tracks to be found... What a pair Phil Collins forms with bassman Percy Jones! Please do it asap SoccerRiot!
@undertakerpt, I'm fine thank you bro, what about you?... And you were one of the first I thought about when I came to do a prog reviewer list...Probably because we're into a GG thread ;)

Speaking of prog, I was just listening to Foxtrot by Genesis again... man, that album just never gets old
| | | Album Rating: 4.5
It's my favorite album by them. It has a sentimental value cuz it's the first one I bought in the late 70s. So I agree with you, it never gets old, and it's still a pleasure to listen to. I can't decide between The Lamb or Selling as my second one. I'd say The Lamb which is like one long, amazing song suite to me.
| | | Album Rating: 4.0
Foxtrot's definitely my favorite as well, with Selling England and Trespass as my second and third. Sadly, out of all the acclaimed Gabriel albums, I just didn't like Lamb Lies very much. I've tried to get into it for years now, but I feel like Genesis' trademark whimsy and complex symphonic elements got traded in for a boring rock opera derivative of The Who. It isn't a bad album, but I feel like it just wasn't Genesis... either the Collins OR Gabriel version
| | | Album Rating: 4.5
I can hear you about The Lamb. I always found that album has different sounding among the good old Genesis, but I'm not sure at what level. And to me, album is nearly flawless in the song writing, and Gabriel delivers. I prefer by far some songs over some others, but I wouldn't skip any of them. It moves me from start to finish. I could do with more guitar from Hackett, but like most of their albums, it's centered around Tony Banks. Selling England is a classic, but all like Nursery Cryme, I see myself skipping some tracks. Not that they aren't good. It's more because I tend to choose my fetish songs. And Trespass is a good call. I have it at a 4.5/5. I love it all, but I could see ''Stagnation'' a little bit more concise. And I sometimes skip ''Dusk'' in my rush to listen to ''The Knife''.

Sorry guys but I live in Europe and is rather difficult to be in touch with you on line at those hours. At least we have 5 hours of difference. So, only today is possible for me comment your comments. I'll comment all I think is relevant for me. So, you must have some patience.

"With e21 around, prog lives hard!"
You can be sure about that. It's a pity so few interest on prog, in hour days, on Sputnik. But don't worry, with me, the flame of prog will stay burning very high.
About our preferences of Gentle Giant albums despite the similarities we have some differences. My top five is, by this order, "In A Glass House", "The Power And The Glory", "Free Hand", "Octopus" and "Acquiring The Taste", all with 5.0. Next I have "Three Friends" with 4.5. Finally, There are "Gentle Giant" and "Interview" with 4.0.
Yeah, both are right. I repeated often times "conceptual" and "concept" all over the review. Maybe I'll change it a bit when I have time. Anyway, I'll be more careful in the next time.

Both are two very lucky guys. I saw that cover of album in my youth. One of my friends then had one of those vinyl versions. From what I know, it was only released in Canada and US. The cover I know was die-cut into a jar shape, which was the cover of my friend. I don't konow if it's your version. Anyway, that cover is really gorgeous.

I'm very glad that you keep the flame of prog burning, too. Anyway, it's a pity that only few of us show some interest on prog. Keep them coming, too.

I'm glad you like the album. The album really rips hard and deserve a review with a better rating. This is for sure

@ undertaker
Thanks, dude.
I agree with you. This is one of the most solid prog bands ever and one of the most creatives too. It always was one of my favourites too.

Absolutely. As far as I'm concerned it will be done. I also intend to bring here old and less old stuff, known and less know things, as usual. Oh God, there are so many things to cover here. It's really a giant thing to do, really. And "Moroccan Roll" would be a good companion for "Unorthodox Behaviour", indeed.

Sorry guys but as you talked about Genesis, perhaps my favourite band, I need to comment it.
My favourite Genesis' album is "Selling England". It was my first purchase and for many months it was my only album. I listened to it dozens of times. It has no secrets to me. My second choice is "Foxtrot". It's an incredible album with the best track ever made by them, "Supper's Ready". My third and fourth choices are "Nursery Crime" and "The Lamb". But as with you, of these two albums I also prefer some songs over some others. Anyway, both are great albums, too. Finally, "Trespass" and the two last albums with Hackett, "A Trick Of The Tail" and "Wind And Wuthering" are at the same level, for me.

@jethro, awesome man, and wow i'm flattered you remembered me! Not even my wife remembers me!!! Also to add to your list to prpg reviewers, omairsh is an exeptional writer, he introduced me to polish proggers riverside and the steven wilson/mikael akerfeldt collab: storm corrosion, which remains one of my favourite prog albums ever!
If there is going to be a prog revolt, I will happily cover the beardfish discog, a criminally unknown band with strong gg influence and killer song writing
| | | Album Rating: 4.0
Beardfish is definitely great too. Actually, one band I revisited again recently and started loving again is Giant Squid. I love the doom-meets-prog approach to Metridium Fields, and those soft moments are just gorgeous
