Love this record
It's good that Phil and the boys returned to some dirty, dirty, gritty hard rock
The best is yet to come for this band.

Every song on this album is consistently great. Safe house is different because it has this serial killer vibe to it that makes you feel hunted/chased and your trying to hide. Madness is just epic listen to it and watch the music video you'll be head banging with you arms wide open dancing around your living room singing the lyrics lol. Nothing i can do is some sort of a love song and the passion in phils voice really connects to you because if you ever loved someone but they never loved you but no matter what you do they'll never feel the same for you. if i'm honest is just a nice ballad that will make your mood more cheery. Halo i like, because its just a real motivation lifter and so is the song louder they play back to back so after listening you'll feel like you can do anything. River city will make you cry its really sad. Open grave will make you feel like your liam neeson in a movie trying to redeem yourself from your past while fighting bad guys. Far from home is a good song its very happy and hopeful for those who have loved ones in the military. the last 3 songs are good too the only song i didn't care for was the thunder rolls its a cover of a country song and just feels like a missed opportunity because its like the original. SO YEAH this is a great album all the songs should be on the radio and i could actually let my mom listen to them plus all the songs are a good length and never overstay there welcome and all the songs can make you feel a certain way with the power and emotion in the lyrics hahahahaha.

This was a LOT better than their last album, but still not particularly good. Although "Halo" is a great song.

I haven't listened to any of their albums since Fall of Ideals which I found to be the right decision

It pretty much is the right decision, their later albums have only had 1-3 good songs on each of them. (Except the one before this one, that had literally no good songs)
|
| |
god I wish they never changed their direction cause I could have seen a bright future if they stuck with that sound...

Six and This Calling were fucking legendary

This couldn’t be worse than the one before it.
|

Pretty sure they were good at one point.
