Yeah, they almost ruin the thing. Mixed too high and the guy is never in key and he never lets the music breathe.

Weird, i thought the vocals sounded like crap on the last one but i tried to get over that, but i just can't for the previous effort, nor for this one aswell

He also never let's the music breath on the EP, that thing kind of a painful listen...

^^^ SO MANY LOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGG NOOOOOOTTTTTTEEEEEEEESSSSSSS, LIKE JEEEEEEEESUS, SOOOO MUCH EMPTY SPACE aswell

His voice sounds so untrained, it sounds like when you don't do any warm up's at all

He's half mumbling tbh, sound's like he is high as kite too LMAO

Ugh, their debut is one of my favorite modern metal albums. This is a let down :/

yeah their debut was probably the greatest thing from the whole djent era. this was a big drop in quality.

Yep agreed. This, AAL's debut, and Vildhjarta's debut are the trifecta.

i personally dont consider aal's first record djent. yes many djent artists used it later as reference big time, but it is more or less an instrumental prog/ jazz fusion album that just became influential as hell. after that i think they did jump onto the trend too though to a degree.

For some reason, Crystal Teeth of all songs is growing on me.

I take back all that I said about this album, this is awesome. The payoff on Your Scent is huge.

The run of the last three songs will forever be the tits. Seems I'm in the minority that thinks this is a great album, though the production ain't the best.

Agreed with the sentiments that Februus is quintessential dj0nt. Alongside the debuts from Vildhjarta and Tesseract.

Underrated album. As someone who didn't wait years for this I think my main complaint with this album aside the thin mix is the clean vocals. On Februus the drowning effect made his voice sound good and I think many of the lines here woulda sounded much better that way. Also yeah, dude could of let a lot of these songs breathe more.
