Nah, they nailed it and it fits well with some of their collective influences, as well as Gerard’s comic book experience. Plus, it was a big commercial success, which is great for them and further benefitted by the fact that they went the direction they wanted instead of Three Cheers 2.0.

It’s after where you can feel their influences pulling them in either the direction of Conventional Weapons or that of Danger Days and the difference possibly taking its toll.

Yeah Black Parade is just good but crazy overrated IMO. I didn't come around to it until a couple years ago. This is their absolute peak sound but I can applaud them for not shitting out the same album over and over, even if I've always wanted Three Cheers 2.0.
